Northeast India

This is a special trip for teachers or those majoring in Education.  Participants must have knowledge of educational pedagogy because they will assist the FLPA leaders in training teachers in schools run by the Jesuits for indigenous populations in northeast India. Participants will live simply with the Jesuits in the eastern foothills of the Himalayas. The seminar course provides perspectives on a framework of world cultures and languages (EDU 544), with a special focus on the groups in this area of India. Participants will hear from speakers in the region, engage in social activities with villagers, and share in reflections. A side trip to the Taj Mahal will also be included.
