In Effect for Fall 2018
Students may only participate in study abroad programs that are pre-approved by the Global Engagement Office (GEO) as part of an employee benefit remission program. Such participants must pay the difference between their employee benefit remission program and the special cost to Creighton University for the study abroad program. Regular registration and fees in addition to the tuition remission fee and any additional fees for special Creighton University programs (i.e. Global Scholars) are applicable during each study abroad semester. Short travel courses are not covered under the employee benefit remission program.

Exchange students will have access to on-campus dormitories. Stay in the dormitories is approximately $2,000 USD for six months with the option to add on a meal plan for an additional $850 USD. More information can be found on the website.

Students may choose from courses in many different subject areas, including Accounting, American Culture, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, English Literature, History, Korean Language, Management, Marketing, Math, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

For more course information, visit Sogang University's Website.

View Suggested Creighton Course Equivalents Here

From Fall 2018 onward, courses taken while studying abroad will transfer back to Creighton University with a letter grade.  These grades will be factored into your Creighton GPA.  Grade equivalency charts will be published on the study abroad website in early 2018 to help you understand how the grade abroad will reflect on your Creighton transcript.  This change is in contrast to the former "Pass/Fail" grade policy.

Students must meet all Study Abroad Eligibility Requirements as outlined in Creighton's Study Abroad Policies & Procedures

How to Apply
Students must first complete the CU Proposal to Study Abroad and the CU Study Abroad Course Approval Form (internal documents). Once these are complete, students will then complete Sogang University's online application (external document).

The CU Proposal to Study Abroad for Fall semester participation is due March 1st, and for Spring semester participation it is due October 1st. Because there are a limited number of spots on this program it is strongly recommend that interested students submit their CU Proposal to Study Abroad as early as possible.
